Simply Certification welcomes the publication of the National Audit Office’s (NAO) independent review into energy efficiency installations delivered under the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme.

We are pleased to see that a thorough and impartial assessment has been carried out, highlighting areas where failings have occurred across External Wall Insulation (EWI) and Internal Wall Insulation (IWI) installations.

While Simply Certification does not act as a guardian of ECO contract compliance, our role as an independent Certification Body is to certify installers for PAS 2030 through the application of PAS 2031 — the standard that defines how certification bodies must operate to ensure competence and compliance.
