David Young

Role: Lead Auditor

Standards: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001.

David started his career in 1997 as an infantry soldier in Her Majesty’s Armed Forces.

He then moved into Operations Management at Metano where he was responsible for the daily running of operations including quality assurance, management system implementation and hazardous waste management.

In 2014 David moved to HSEQ Consultancy which provided professional and expert advice in some particular areas of clients’ businesses and to help them maintain and develop their Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management Systems.

David covers a wide range of Industry Sectors and assists in the development of strategic plans for ISO standards, BS EN ISO 9001, BS EN ISO 14001, BS ENB 45001, BS EN ISO 3834 (Quality of welding) and British Standards BS EN 1090-1, BS EN 1090-2 (CE marking for structural steel),

Then in 2018 David moved towards carrying out external audits for UKAS accredited certification bodies for ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, SSiP, EN1090, and GWO.

David is a great asset to the Simply team and puts clients at ease during the assessment process.
